GATE 2021 Notification (Information Brochure) is released on 7th August 2020. After deciding the conducting office for GATE 2021. This year, IIT Bombay will conduct GATE 2021. Last Year, one of the major changes in the entrance test is that GATE 2020 examination will be conducted for 24 papers. This year’s exam will be conducted with 27 papers and candidates can choose 2 papers in GATE 2021. Also, one big change is 3rd year (pre-final Year) candidates are also eligible for GATE 2021.

The registration process and GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website will be open from 14th September 2020 (Monday). The last date to submit the GATE 2021 Application form will be 30th September 2020 (Wednesday) and with late fee (Rs. 500/- Extra) 7th October 2020.

Candidates can download GATE 2021 Admit Card from 8th January 2021 (Friday). GATE 2021 Examination will be held on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14, 2021. The mode of GATE 2021 will be computer-based.

GATE 2021 will consist of two types of questions – MCQ type and Numerical Answer Type questions. The MCQ type questions will carry 1 or 2 marks in all the papers and sections. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for 1-mark MCQ, and 2/3 mark will be deducted for 02 marks MCQ.
The NAT type questions will consist of 1 or 2 marks, furthermore, there is no negative marking for a wrong answer in NAT questions.
