Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2022) is one of the most popular entrance examinations among aspiring future engineers. It is conducted once in a year by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs for the candidates who have a dream to get jobs in PSUs or wish to seek admission to a master’s program in engineering, technology, and architecture.

Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2022

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria that are mentioned below to appear for the GATE examination. The GATE 2022 Eligibility Criteria as follows:

Nationality: Indian and foreign nationals are eligible to apply for the GATE examination.

Education Qualification as per the qualifying degree:

GATE 2022 Application Form

The GATE Application form will be started on the 1st Week of September 2021. Eligible candidates can fill online applications only by visiting the official website of GATE 2022. The applicant needs to fill in the following details:

  • Name, Email Id, Phone Number
  • Education Qualification Details
  • Upload the Photo, Signature & Eligibility Documents.

After filling in information & uploading the required documents candidates need to pay the application fees through Online mode such as net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI, etc. Now the candidate needs to submit the application form for the GATE Examination. 

If you fill in any wrong or misleading information while filling the GATE application form then your application may be rejected. To avoid such circumstances, we request you to fill in & submit the correct information & documents. 

GATE 2022 Application Fee

The GATE application fee may vary based on the candidate’s category and examination centers.

GATE 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus for the GATE exam is purely based on the UG syllabus that you study in your 4 years of a degree. But for clarity, we list the important topics from the syllabus to get a better understanding.

General Aptitude (GA): This section is common for all the papers and it includes English Grammer, Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction, Word Groups, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, etc.

Civil Engineering (CE): Engineering Mathematics, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Geomatics Engineering

Computer Science & Information Technology (CS): Engineering Mathematics, Digital Logic, Computer Organizations, & Architecture, Programming & Data Structures, Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design, Operating System, Databases, and Computer Networks

Electronics & Communication Engineering (EC): Engineering Mathematics, Networks, Signals & Systems, Electronic Devices, Analog Circuits, Digital Circuits, Control Systems, Communications, Electromagnetics.

Electrical Engineering (EE): Engineering Mathematics, Electric Circuits, Electromagnetic Fields, Signals & Systems, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Electrical & Electronic Measurements, Analog & Digital Electronics, and Power Electronics.

GATE 2022 Admit Card

  • GATE Admit Card will be provided for those candidates who successfully filled the application form & paid the application fee. 
  • The admit card will be released in the 1st Week of January 2022. 
  • Candidates can download the admit card of GATE 2022 from the official website using their logging ID & password. 
  • GATE Admit Card will not be sent by mail to individual candidates.
  • Along with the admit card candidate should carry ONE ID Proof (passport, pan card, voter id, addhar card, college id, or driving license) to the exam hall.

GATE 2022 Response Sheet

After GATE 2022 examination, the GATE conducting authority releases the Candidate Response Sheet i.e. GATE 2021 Response Sheet. In this response sheet, candidates get the responses that they mark during the GATE 2022 examination.

GATE 2022 Result

The GATE 2022 Result will be published on 17th March 2022. Candidate can check their GATE Result by visiting & logging on to the official website with their ID & Password. 

The GATE score will be valid for the Next 3 years so candidates can apply for admission with this score.
